Harvesting History
Schemper Harvesting was founded back in the 1950s when Jerry Schemper went out on the wheat belt to try out the custom harvesting business. During this time, Jerry established our name with customers that we still have to this day, as well as stops on our route. He started the harvest in southwest Oklahoma and went as far north as Cut Bank, Montana.  He harvested in 7 states and we still do today.  He probably didn't realize that he was the very beginning of a family tradition in the custom harvesting business. LaVern became a partner in the 1960s and is a 2nd generation harvester. JC and Jared became partners in the 1990s and are 3rd generation harvesters.
